🎓 Est. Warrigal Road State School

About the P&C

The WRSS P&C Association is a community of parents, citizens and friends who believe that the best schools are built by the people who love them most.

A Community Built on Showing Up

The Warrigal Road State School P&C Association (P&C) is the parent and citizen body that supports our school through fundraising, events, essential services and community connection.

We are a registered, volunteer-run association made up entirely of parents, carers and community members who want to make WRSS the best it can be. Our P&C has raised over $30,000 every year since 2021 — funding real improvements that benefit every one of our 1,150+ students.

We operate the Tuckshop and Uniform Shop, run signature events like Warrigala and the Colour Fun Run, support multicultural celebrations, and provide a voice for families in our school community. Everything we do, we do together.

What the P&C Does

We work across four areas to support our school and strengthen our community.

🎉

Events & Fundraising

From the Colour Fun Run and Disco to our signature Warrigala fete, we run events that raise vital funds and bring our community together. $30,000+ raised every year since 2021.

🍱

School Services

We operate the Tuckshop (open Tuesday–Friday) and the Uniform Shop (in-store and online), providing essential, affordable services to every family at WRSS every week.

📚

School Investment

We fund playground improvements, technology upgrades, learning resources, wellbeing programs and more — projects that go beyond what the school budget can achieve alone.

🤝

Community Connection

We celebrate our multicultural community, support families from all backgrounds, and create opportunities for every parent and carer to feel genuinely welcome and valued.

🗣️

Voice for Families

P&C members have a formal voice in school decisions. Our general meetings each term give every family the opportunity to be heard on matters that affect their children.

🌟

Volunteer Development

We create meaningful volunteer opportunities that help people build skills, confidence and friendships — because giving back is good for the giver too.

Our Values

These principles guide everything we do as a P&C community.

🏠 Every Family Belongs

We welcome families from every background, culture and language. Our diversity is our greatest strength and we celebrate it at every opportunity.

🌟 Children First

Every decision we make, every dollar we raise, every hour we volunteer — it all starts with what's best for the children of Warrigal Road State School.

🤝 Together We're Stronger

No one does it alone. Our tagline says it perfectly — stronger together, brighter futures. Community is not what we have. It's what we build.

✨ Transparency & Trust

We operate openly and honestly. Every dollar raised is accounted for, every decision is made in a meeting open to all members, every project is shared with our community.

🎉 Joy & Celebration

We take our responsibilities seriously but we never forget to have fun. Great communities celebrate together — and we do that very, very well.

💡 Growth & Improvement

We are always learning, growing and looking for ways to do things better — for our families, our volunteers and our school community.

How the P&C Works

🗣️ General Meetings

The P&C holds 1–2 meetings per term (around 6 per year). These meetings are open to all parents and community members — you don't need to be a member to attend, though only members can vote.

Meetings typically cover updates from the school principal, financial reports, event planning, project approvals and any matters raised by members.

See our meeting dates and online RSVP on the Contact page. Term 2 meeting is online — 10 June 2026.

🏢 Becoming a Member

P&C membership is open to any parent, carer, or community member connected to WRSS. Membership gives you a formal vote at general meetings and a direct say in how P&C funds are spent.

There is a small annual membership fee. To enquire about joining, use our contact form or speak to a P&C committee member at any school event.

Acknowledgement of Country

The WRSS P&C Association acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Warrigal Road State School stands. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise the continuing connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Country, culture and community.

Come and Be Part of It

The P&C is only as strong as its community. Whether you volunteer, join, donate your time or simply show up — you make us stronger.
